34th Annual Threshers Show

Featuring: Oddballs, Orphans, and One of a Kinds

Overview: Experience the “Way it Was” with antique farm machinery, horse demonstrations, flea market, arts & crafts, kids games, tractor games, Dutch-oven cooking, antique cars and trucks, cross-cut saw contest, great music, fiddle contest and much, much more.  Food stand available on the grounds.  Admission button good for all three days!  Children 12 and under are free!

Camper Hookups: A limited number of camper spaces with electrical hookups are available on a reservation basis for a small fee that may vary by how many days you need.  Reserve early!

Attention Exhibitors: All exhibitors are welcome as long as it is relavant to the show.  Membership is not required to exhibit. You are responsible for your own exhibits. All exhibitors and event participants are required to sign a liability waiver. Exhibit space is provided on a first come basis.  If you have special requirments (i.e.  a working demonstration or a large display) please contact us at least a few weeks in advance so we can make arrangements.   Unfortunately we do NOT have any parking close to the exhibit areas, but we do run trams during the show.

There will be a parade though town Friday the 20th at 6pm. Line-up starts at 5pm, and anyone who has an entry related to our show is welcome to participate. Contact us if you need more information.


6th Annual Toy Show

Location: (Tenative) Merchant’s building at Montgomery County Fairgrounds (click here for map)

Buy, sell, trade, or just look around. Come see antiques, classics, and even new toys of all kinds; enough to thrill both children and all those young at heart. Don’t have a collection yet? This is a great opportunity to start! General admission is only $2, and children 12 and under get in free. Food will be available on site. Want more information or interested in being a vendor? Just call Howard or Karen Hollensteiner at (573)564-2979. Vendors, please reserve early since space is limited and available on a first come first served basis.


3rd Annual Tractor Cruise

When: (Tenative) June, 2011
Location: (Tenative) Begins at Montgomery City MFA

Tractors on parade! Sign up and join us with your favorite old tractor for a nice long drive in the countryside. Bring your classic/antique car too if you like. PLEASE PRE-REGISTER! Registration costs $35 per entry, and includes a lunch ticket.   The route is as follows:

Here are the rules for the tractor cruise:

  • ALL PARTICIPANTS, both drivers and riders, will be required to sign a liability waiver.
  • You MUST have liability insurance on your entry and have proof of insurance at check-in.  Talk to your insurance agent about getting 1-day coverage for the event if you don’t have coverage already.  It usually doesn’t cost much.  **IMPORTANT! Homeowners insurance and farm blanket policies will NOT cover you for a tractor cruise!**
  • All operators must have a valid state motor vehicle liscense.  You will need to present it at check-in.
  • Machines should be in good working order with good brakes and tight steering.  There will be a safety inspection conducted on each entry.
  • An SMV (slow moving vehicle) sign is required on your entry.
  • Your entry must be able to sustain a speed of at least 10MPH.
  • Please have a tow strap stored on your machine.
  • All riders MUST use a securely fastened buddy seat.
  • NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED!
  • No duals, attachments, ATVs, or oversized equipment will be allowed.
  • No bicycle companions allowed.

The alternate date in case of rain-out is the following weekend.  If you have pre-registered and cannot attend the alternate date your registration fee will be refunded upon request.  If you have any further questions please contact Howard Hollensteiner at (573) 564-2979.
